Today, while doing something productive(vid will be up later),
I encountered a duelist working on his deck.
It was atrocious.
I think it was supposed to be based on Dark Simorgh, but it had next to zero synergy with the overall deck.
Basically, I stepped in and fixed/changed the deck in about 3 minutes.
The changed decklist is as follows:
BF-Darkmorgh.
2 BW - Sirroco the Dawn
3 BW - Gale the hurricane
3 BW - Blast the Black Lance
1 Sangan
1 Spirit Reaper
3 Slate Warrior
2 Soldier of Mist Valley
1 EBI - Assla Piscu
3 Dark Simorgh
3 Divine Fowl King - Alector
2 Raiza the Storm Monarch
1 Monster Reborn
2 Mystical Plasma Zone
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 D.D.R.
1 Heavy Storm
2 Fires of Doomsday
2 Anti-spell fragrance
1 Torrential tirbute
1 Icarus Attack
1 Mirror Force
2 Deck Devastation Virus

Shield Wing?
ReplyDeleteDidnt come to my mind in the 3 mins that I messed with the deck.
ReplyDeleteBesides, not needed.
I reccomend folks drop the infatuation w/ Simorgh's use alongside other birds. The calling card of birds is Icarus and nothing more; Icarus itself is wholeheartedly anathema to everything Simorgh exists for - which is "Simorgh staying on the field".
ReplyDeleteFrom there, we just make a DARK/WIND frame, and for pete's sake, never let Simorgh leave the field.
People even more insane than the bird crowd can try it with Fiends, for Necrofear, Neosfear, and one-sided Anti-Spell Fragrance.
The bird crowd is welcome to try Bird Simorgh again when the OCG gets the TCG World Premiere card "Swallow's Nest".
I tried to keep the initial builder's basic ideas, while still making it work.
